Embossed Water-Resist

This water-resist technique is from the C&S class. I embossed the hearts after stamping in red on naturals white CS. Then using Distress Inkpads with a spritz of Perfect Pearls and water, "water- colored" the background colors, making the resist work on the hearts. Used the layer over a white CS with 1/4" ribbon. Love the final outcome ... will practice this more...

Sent this to my cousin who thinks to send a card at least twice a week to my mother. Sooo thoughtful! My cousin has no idea the smile that I see when Mom gets the card. And those smiles are difficult to feel right now...

Family and friends might rue this day, because they will be receiving all kinds of cards that I have created! They'll have to come up with appropriate responses to encourage my new-found hobby without giving me a sense of lack of genius on the creative side :}  After all I did state that I am a retired teacher that really never embellished that artistic gene...

I found myself unable to post technique experiments. I have cased so many others... it's only fair that I continue this journey on a blog of my own! SO here goes...
