Clean and Simple 3... Day 1

Here's my first admission to the gallery for the online class... I am having such a great time! Can you tell?

Made this for St Patrick's Day for John... Lucky in Love!  The ideas came from the class... it is a layer on the white card base, inlaid on the layer.  I was a little afraid to go directly on the card to be honest!

The strip of pattern paper is from Recollections All Seasons. It was adhered to the white layer (5.25 x 4") before die cutting the word lucky through both. Then I cut the shamrock from both layers, replacing it with a green one. The one that was cut is on the inside of the card!  I adhered the 3 extra pieces from lucky to their correct placement on the word, adhering this layer to the white base. Love the inlay technique... I am a puzzler after all ...

I thought of adding more shamrocks, but to be honest, I like the simplicity of it :) But I have learned that I am not a purist!

Beautiful - I think the one shamrock was just perfect there.

I love it! Great job with the technique! I have learned that I am not a purist either, but I do love the CAS style! :)
